Wow. That's some unique lighting to be that balanced thruout. The DOF is wonderful on this and what needs to be in focus is. Good control of your environment. The colors are saturated enough, but not overboard. The connection to the theme is a little thin. Yes, there are some spots, but they are a relatively small part of this composition. That might hold this entry back some. All JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge.

i gave this an 8 during voting. i cant imgine why it scored lower except for the people who hate flowers. i recently tried to photograph the same exact type of flower in my backyard and my results werent near as stunning as yours. dont beat yourself up about it. its fantastic. the focus, and DOF and everything are perfect to me.
