maximum thirty studentsby ParentxComment by Lustre: The perspective is great, colours are wonderful and the jet stream is an interesting addition. My question, then, is what are the three white patches on the 30 sign? Are they some kind of reflection or something stuck to the sign? I must say again though - the blue and green is wonderful. |

The wall (Pink Floyd)by ParentxComment by jmsetzler: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Pink Floyd... one of my favorite groups of all time... "The Wall" represents a lot of things in the movie and on the 'album' as well. It primarily seems to represent oppression, in my opinion. The graffiti on your wall represents the uprising against the oppression in a very strong way... The black and red against the white paint can make a good representation of death and the 'dying'...
I think my only misunderstanding in this image is the red brickwork at the top of your image. I don't see where it 'fits' in the theme. If this was my photo, I would have expolred the possiblities of cropping that part out maybe...
I normally do not like photographs that don't show 'depth', but this is one exception to that. Since I'm familiar with the song, I can definitely see lots of other 'dimension' in this photo.
I can't really offer you any technical critique on this photo because I can't see how it could be technically any better...
Keep up the good work :)

The wall (Pink Floyd)by ParentxComment by HBunch: Definately fits the challenge, and the song very well. The subject however isn't really exciting. Technically, it's well done. The focus and clarity are good, and lighting appears to be good as well. Good luck in the challenge. |

The wall (Pink Floyd)by ParentxComment by Swashbuckler: Challenge met, but....here's my thoughts on The Wall pictures. It's a story, more about the man's childhood than anything else and that time's effect on his personality. A mean old lady or scared child in front of this wall would make for a more complete story and stronger connection to the song. I connected to The Wall entries strongly at first, just because of the song. In my second viewing, the photo needs more, sorry, score downgrade from 7 to 6. Swash |
