This is goping to sound brutal, but please take this in the way it isntended, as an honest critique.

The lighting is really not helping here, its flat and provides no definition. The eye is bang central, both vertically and horizontally, it may have been better to have it higher or lower, just to break up the composition. Also the eye looking away reduces the impact.

All in all a fairly non-descript image which with some thought could have been much much better.

It's hurting my eyes to look at that much gold - I like the abstract. The photo could be bigger though - its only 500 pixels, should really be 640 if you want to score well
