London Eyeby marboComment by 777STAN: I love this composition & the richness of the blues. (Used a polarizer, right?) Sadly, even though this photo has much going for it, the distance away from the people makes facial expression difficult to see. At least for me, facial expressions is the one characteristic that defines a candid photograph.
I give you a seven for hyperfocal distance & the richness of the art! Much success in the future! |

Tortoise complexionby marboComment by rwouthuis: Fantastic looking colours and cool texture. I would have liked to have seen some catchlight in the eye to add a little life to the animal. |

London Eyeby marboComment by melismatica: This is an interesting travel shot but the human subjects are too far away to make the kind of emotional connection needed for a candid to work, IMO. This doesn't capture the feelings or mood of any of the people on board. |

London Eyeby marboComment by GeckoZ: Nice shot!! I've seen this farris wheel (correct me if I'm wrong) shot in DPreview. Your shot is beautiful! |

London Eyeby marboComment by espy2: I don't usually like comments or give them, but since candids are near and dear to my heart, I have decided to comment on every photo in this challenge.
Well, its a nice capture of a landscape, skyscape, and the domed car, but there is too much going on for me here for a candid contest. Not enough interest in one or two particular people to show me a candid shot. Just a 5 vote from me I'm afraid. I want to see a particular person or two telling me a story, and shots like these are a bit too easy to capture of a crowd doing something like this. |
