A somewhat of a cliche shot, but for very good reason. What a great image to have to look back on. A beautiful first page for the baby book. :)

I think the lighting is excellent here. I love the shading that emphasizes the fullness of her shape. My criticism would be the appearence of the elastic marks from her clothing. (I assume thats what all those little vertical lines are anyway...) She should have worn a robe for an hour or two before posing for this so those would have time to fade.

Otherwise, it's very beautiful and emotional.

Beautiful image, very well lit. The BW conversion is very nice as well. Tiny nit-pick: I can see the impression from her waistband on her skin. Changing into a robe or wearing pants with the low waistband an hour or so before shooting can prevent that. Still, very nicely composed.

Nice night shot. IMHO the WB seems a tad on the incandescent side. Perhaps adjusting in the RAW stage may have brought out more of the natural colors in this shot? Also the photo is tilted CCW. Just my opinion, nice shot nonetheless

I don't see anything colorful that offsets your subject from the rest of the photograph. The entire photo is more or less using the same tones. The only things that are colorful are the lights on the distance - top right and top left of the image. And those are definately not the subject of your photo.

There is not much in focus here. Shallow DOF needs to have at least part of the subject in sharp focus, compared to the surroundings being in gradually softer focus. The image lacks appealing colors, or subject matter in my mind. Sorry, it just seems to be an image you entered last minute just to be in the challenge - nothing you would have taken to please yourself. Perhaps I'm wrong on that - that is just the feeling I get.
