Sarahby stare_at_the_sunComment by violinist123: I don't mind a softer focus on portraits but here everything seems just enough out of focus to irritate the eye. If even the eye on the right were nice and crisp it would give the eye something to move to in the picture. |

It's Pastel Manby stare_at_the_sunComment by Qart: A very good take on the challenge and you hit it dead on. My only thought is that although the colors are right, it's just a bit too bold to project the feel of softness that pastel really implies. Nice job! 7 |

Sarahby stare_at_the_sunComment by magenmarie: Nice shot. The water fountain is a bit distracting for me though. She's such a pretty model, I wish the focus was all on her...but the streams of water are taking my eye away. |

Sarahby stare_at_the_sunComment by hotpasta: I have a Sarah! OK...the image is lovely and her pose is nice and relaxed...she is absolutely stunning and you have captured her beauty well...on the negative, perhaps a little out of focus and the water in the bg looks like it's pouring into her, so is a bit distracting. A wder aperture would have thrown the bg out of focus and helped us really concentrate on Sarah...sharper focus around her eyes and you have a ribbon winner of the future...lovely image in any case 8 |

Brickby stare_at_the_sunComment by massmediakid31: i think if more people had seen this film this photo would've done better. it is such a good movie and picture, it deserved better. this is the problem with living in a world of mass culture, everyone sees tom hanks talk to a volleyball but only the adventurous see joseph gordon levitt evolve from the angel's in the outfield kid and grow up to be a great indie actor in films like Brick and Manic. sorry for the vent, i was rooting for your photo. |
