i think if more people had seen this film this photo would've done better. it is such a good movie and picture, it deserved better. this is the problem with living in a world of mass culture, everyone sees tom hanks talk to a volleyball but only the adventurous see joseph gordon levitt evolve from the angel's in the outfield kid and grow up to be a great indie actor in films like Brick and Manic. sorry for the vent, i was rooting for your photo.

Never saw the movie (never heard of it either), so I don't know how well it fits the challenge, but the photo has a really bad-ass feel to it. The stare of the brown jacket guy (Caleb?) looks like he's ready to kick my ass, and the Rubiks Cube guy looks like he's going to snap any minute.

I'm gettin' out of here......

Lovely execution... watch the red in the photo.. the facial colours looks a little unnatural.. 7 for me

i totally adored this film, and the setting and composure of the characters in the scene very much has the style and feel of it. though your guys don't necessarily look like the characters, expressions and posture is very much in keeping, and makes it recogniseable even without the title - though one fears it might be a bit too indie / obscure to reach the masses on dpc. technically, it feels a bit over exposed, and the background feels too cluttered, busy and more urban than suburban of the film. however, my adoration for the film makes it personally interesting, so 8.

either that's a nasty sun burn or some bad makeup on the guy sitting down. The other fellow is a dead ringer for a young B. Dylan. Totally unrelated to anything I wanted to comment on, but just making some observations.

I've not seen this film, but the IMDB entry sounds like this shot could fit. It has that urban look to it.

this picture definitely fits the film you chose. Brick was great. Love the detail of the notebook and rubik's cube. you put a lot of thought into it and that counts a lot with me.

A touch pink on the skintones of the guy on the left, but a brilliant focus and composition.
