Not To Be So Depressive by sahkoComment by KiwiChris: I like the 'post industrial' feeling of this shot... The whole world has decayed, and she's left staring at us, wondering why it all went wrong... Oh, that's why she's depressed!
Neat shot.. 8 |

Not To Be So Depressive by sahkoComment by samtrundle: The gloomy feel and blue/grey/green cast here is wonderfully effective. Congratulations (okay so I just stumbled accross your portfolio during voting and saw your outtake for this shot - both are brilliant - apologies for thinking this might be Heida - she has a shot of a similar looking model in her port - not that being confused with Heida can really be seen as a negative :P) on what is probably the best image in this challenge.
Once again, great work! 10. |

Depressive II.by sahkoComment by samtrundle: Wow - this is an amazing image. Probably better than your new years resolution shot (admittedly it doesn't convey depressive as well).
Brilliant stuff! |

Old ladyby sahkoComment by Arcanist: I like this shot. The face and detail of the age lines and clarity of the eyes is great. I think a bit soft on the DOF left as it seems her hair and arm should also be in focus. The highlights on this side seem too strong and draw the eye away from the subject. Overall tho a strong image. Bumping to 8 |

Old ladyby sahkoComment by Mark of SRQ: I think one will do very well, because it is a great photograph. But you may lose some points because she is looking directly at you, so there is no telling if it is really candid or not. Maybe she turned to look at you the moment you pressed the shutter button, maybe she was looking at you the whole time. It's a great portrait regardless. |

Not To Be So Depressive by sahkoComment by SDW: IMO a very good job! I like the mood of the picture and the topic of the resolution. I like the use of coloring it the picture and think you did a great job. Lighting is good along with the focus. The pillar/column and subject has a crisp focus while the background is blending out, great DOF. Great Job [9]. |

Old ladyby sahkoComment by Pixelstate: This is an excellent portrait Martin. Not sure if the voters will perceive this to be 'posed' or not, which might impact your place. I would be dissapointed if this was not top 3. The expression is so very natural. |
