Thanksgiving Towerby crabappl3Comment by crabappl3: Yes this was shot in Downtown Dallas at Thanksgiving Square. I wanted to get a reshoot of this with my 12mm lens and dSLR. My other shot was with my Fuji 602 and it couldn't get as wide as I wanted.

Thanksgiving Towerby crabappl3Comment by GeneralE: A re-shoot of a ribbon-winning photo? Now, where have I heard of that idea recently ...

Thanksgiving Towerby crabappl3Comment by goodtempo: Great shot Danny! You know, I went back there a while ago looking for that man that told us to go in there so I could ask him to turn the lights off at the top. Couldn't find him though.
Nice wide angle shot. Helps to have a wide angle lens.
Still a great landmark!

Thanksgiving Towerby crabappl3Comment by snackwells: I've seen this before on DPC. I think the stained glass is well exposed, but the interior is somewhat subdued. Quite a difficult shot to take, I imagine. Overall I think you handled it well.....hmm...perhaps a fill flash on aperture priority with the same shutter speed would have improved the interior lighting?
EDIT: Revisiting for another look. On second thought, I think the exposure is just fine the way it is. Would I prefer a brighter interior? Yes but it does not detract any from this outstanding photograph. Bumping up. 8
EDIT: My pick for top three. Bumping again to 9. |
