Nice work on this. Not only a good capture of some bright contrast on the child's face, but also the child's personality. The DOF is also really good to keep all attention on the girl. Excellent photo. |

From a personal point of view, I would love to have seen this in vivid colour with background blurred by shallow DOF I bet it would have been a winner in the upcoming "Colour portrait" challenge..however, this treatment serves the purpose of this challenge so much better.

Comforts Meby crabappl3Comment by colyla: love this! pieta is one of my favorites. found a painting on ebay awhile back, and it was of the women of calgary on a hill, walking but looking back at the crucifixion as they were helping to carry Mary....very gutwrenching....which I like....because I never want to forget.
