The crystals are a nice idea and background is nondistracting. DOF is a good way to differentiate the crystals. The reflection on the foreground crystal of what appears to be a window showing sky and trees distracts from seeing the similarities in them; perhaps some directed light on the foreground crystal would highlight the facets more like the background crystal. I might also experiment with positioning so the foreground crystal doesn't partially obscure the background one.

Potentially strong subject material. The reflection of the window on the facet of the foreground crystal is a bit distracting though and I wish the foreground crystal was in sharper focus (maybe the background crystal should be the one out of focus).

my double take is going heaps good, its getting 5.2 or something and my free study is going even better at 5.1 !!!! .. lol lol ... i havent looked for a while coz they're not going anywhere .. thinking positive tho, when i do get a really good score i'll be ecstatic ... :):)xxx

OK I dont know whether to laugh or cry...I score 5.1125 and come 311th and you score 5.1250 and come 307th!!!!!! I swear I will beat you one day, but....I am glad it was not today because I had really liked this picture (way better than mine) and cant believe it did not score much higher. For me it was one of the real unique images in the challenge and a great take on earth.

I was going to ask about where you got the cat skull from but I guess that some things are better left unanswered
