Irish Countiesby AliciaComment by figaro: Wow, you've really captured the energy and concentration in this shot, well done. Did you use AF on this? I ask because my autofocus was a pain in low-light when I used the 50mm with my old 350D. I don't know if the focus is locked on the back wall but he could be sharper - you probably could have got away with boosting the ISO on this. |

Irish Countiesby AliciaComment by JMart: Originally posted by undieyatch: Your images are always interesting, (and take this with a grain of salt) - not only does post cropping your image destroy any semblance of the nature of your lens.... it is unequivocally a sin in any capacity, (except in camera, also slight rotation/straighten is ok). As you can tell I like the no crop suggestion. |
I don't think the "unsinful" ratio of all photography should be dictated by camera sensor manufacturers, so I would not only take that with a grain of salt, I'd call BS.
I like the way you framed this shot with the background. The angle of the flute against the verticle lines of his body & the mic along with the background make for a nice composition. Being indoors I'm curious what settings you were working with.
ETA: thanks for adding the settings. I'm surprised there's not more motion blur at that speed with the way musicians move. Message edited by author 2008-06-01 15:22:40. |

South Galleriesby AliciaComment by Bud: nice shot, the blurred motion and using the "South galleries" as the title works well. |
