You're probably suffering from some DNMC votes for the person in the shot. I like the angle and the concept; the model seems to be almost smiling, which is confusing given the title. I think some contrast boost would give the image a bit more drama as well.

Well you are my second highest rated image in this challenge. You got it exactly as I thought it should be except for the B&W. Some people love that, I think that sometimes it can be a little over rated. Here it looks great except there was one other person who did the same type shot and between angel and the color in it I liked it better. Just a matter of taste on my part not lack of skill on yours. You did an excellent job here and should get a red ribbon at least for this great shot.

The image is nice. The B&W reduces distractions from what looks like a bright sun. The fence at the right is on a good angle to take the eye up the image but...there is still a spectator at the venue! Usually a 6 but DNMC=3
