Starbucksby Postgate1Comment by Rikki: Ahhh my kind of sign ;) I would have probably placed this in one of the thirds (ROT) instead of smack in the middle. More emphasis that way ;) |

A New Blend ?by Postgate1Comment by cryonv: I strougled with this picture. Technically speaking the picture is good, and has good lighting qualities. I see the light in the background, and I know that it is providing fill. Yet I can't really see how the light is providing any real assistance in this picture. Going back to the rules of the contest it says "Backlighting is the idea of shining light at an object from behind, or lighting areas behind the object you want to highlight." This being said I don't see how the emphasis has been changed or altered because of the lighting. So I scored it lower because I felt it didn't go with the contest. |

A New Blend ?by Postgate1Comment by 777STAN: I thought "The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup." This just makes me want to croak! ;)
Lighting/Composition: Very good. |

A New Blend ?by Postgate1Comment by adine: Very nice lighting - the reflection off the counter top really highlights the humerous(frog) part of your subject - nice even lighting on the normal(coffee cup) part of the subject. This is exactly what the chalenge calls for! Perhaps could be a little brighter and a bit more contrast a bit more color saturation? |
