I would normally be willing to look past it, but the soft focus is so over done in this shot that it is hard to. It should be a little more subtle if you ask me. However, your lighting is just wonderful. I think this is a little more on the portait side than the fashion side. |

They have to portray the product or fashion in the proper way. However, on the risk you took in using a model in this way, here is my critique. I first want to comment on the title, "Curves". I believe it is actually the name of a product. I believe a perfume. I would have had that in the shot and her holding it. I know this wasn't a challenge for ads, but the dress alone really is just a dress and doesn't do much for me. The hip action is also a bit too severe. Almost in a distracting way. With the product it would have made more sense, but without it, it seems an un-necessary stance. This model is very pretty and the huge swing in the hip is just overpowering her and drawing the eye to the hip. It also draws the eye to the bracelettes, which don't work with this gown. On the other hand, from the chest up, her facial expression is spot on and she is showing a nice amount of neck for the stance, but that hip, again, pulling it out so far has hunched her shoulders, taking away from the potential this shot could have had. In any case, it is still pleasing. I like the soft focus, and the red on black, etc. I still gave it a decent score. |

It makes my eyes twitch to try and figure it out. I think this would be an awesome image of it were cropped right above her shoulders. (just a minor decapitation Still, very nice work. -8- |
