Some people complain about the overuse of pet shots, but I love cat shots. This cat is a perfect subject on the white background, and what a fun and whimsical scarf collar, that just screams "burst of color!" It looks a tad over saturated with the ears, eyes and nose, but it's just so cute that it still gets a 10! One of my favorites from the challenge. Well done!

I think the lighting in this shot is very well done. I like the details being shown in the rose and the profiles. I do believe the mothers face is a bit obscure. Would have liked to have seen just a tad bit more of her, but the hair is very pretty and the flow of the hair and smile give way to the emotional moment.

The expressions are very sweet and the emotional aspects of the photo are quite natural. The little girl looks enthralled by her mom, and the mom in total love of the little girl. Not contrived at all.

The fact that the rose is in color and not the rest is a nice touch, because the rose is not over powering the shot and draws you in to the faces which then makes the photo burst with emotion outward.

A very nice crop. I like that the b/g is white, and all in all the photo is contained very well and fits the challenge nicely.

Now THAT is original. Nice clean picture, good focus and DOF but still capturing the collar nicely. If anything I might have liked to see the collar as more of a focal point with the face.
Still, I love it!
