Focus is just a tad soft for my personal taste, however, I think that the lighting and color is great. The angle and framing/cropping are good as well. A great background for the flower, matches well with the center. Quite pretty. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~

The lack of focus really takes away from this picture. Otherwise, it would have been a very good photo. I'm assuming that you didn't have a Macro setting on your camera. A trick that I learned from this site is to use a magnifying glass in front of your lens to get close-ups to focus better. Your choice of a yellow background was well suited for the flower.
