Drink or clean?by

This is a very interesting study. It leans more towards the surreal and while the image is well captured it offers too much freedom for the viewer. The eyes become lost in the available detail of the grass at the top. There is a lot of activity with nothing to really nail the attention. It seems the viewer rushes to the tub and then he begind to examine and get lost in the surroundings. This is common when the main subject is absent leading lines or other elements to highlight it.
Well, the tub works great and I can not fault the composition. Now, if there was a cut path to the tub it would offer the viewer a direct path to the subject and one would entertain the idea that perhaps this thing is used on a regular basis. Of course, you would have had to have made this path.
This is the type of image that traps us because as is it shows a tub in a desolate area. If we zoom in too close the desolation aspect is lost.
While some have commented on the green grass, I venture that all yellow or all green would have given the image a better chance.
I would have explored a higher angle to avoid the almost strict sideview but then we would still have pretty much the same impact.
I can safely say that your technique is well demostrated and that you framed it to the best that the image can yield, but subject matter, that on first site seem so interesting, fails to deliver its innate promise. On a surreal challenge with a little tweaking this would have been a good contender.
