While I really like this picture, I don't think it fits the challenge well. You should have showed us more about the heat. Therefore I will have to subtract a few points, which is hard to do as the photo itself is near perfect :(.

This would be a great photo for coming DPChallenge, Fauna. I love it and wonder how you were able to get so close to subject!! Squirrels in my yard are too energitic.

I think this is a great picture however, if it were not for the title I would not have made any connection whatsoever to the current challenge. I don't think a photoĂ¢€™s legitimacy, as a challenge entry should be based upon the title, just my two cents. Full technical marks for the shot, but the weather aspect if too much of a stretch.

Cute little critter. This is a good photograph (nice use of DOF, diffused lighting, nice highlights in the eyes, composition) but I don't feel it meets the weather challenge. I try to judge the merits of a photograph itself. If I need the title to tie the submission to the challenge, then I don't feel the submission qualifies for the challenge topic, which is the case here.
