What I really like about this photo is that it looks as if it is made from stone (due to BW and ISO)... Or like some witch has fossilized the nature as in some children stories and now we are waiting for a good fairy to bring everything back to life (with a kiss on the rose, of course)...

overexposure, good idea. Sometimes Ugliness does ask the question why, but I think the photo would benefit from a darker feel.

I really like what you've done with this shot Rob. I particularly like the fact that the circle from the key ring is obviously there but cropped. I like how the major key is partially turned and I like the positioning of the remaining keys. The shadows are dramatic ... yes, I agree, it could be Alfred Hitchock like in composition.

I like the color conversion -- it looks hot and summery. Makes me feel like the lock would be hot; I can almost feel it in my hand. I like the composition, good and sharp, etc. etc., but the tones are what struck me first about this. Nice.
