Abstract Flowby Bruce_the_RobertComment by SaraR: I like the almost cross-hatched texture of this abstract. It is a bit of a shame the purple/pink hasn't merged in to the rest, as it draws the eye. |

Abstract Flowby Bruce_the_RobertComment by Simms: I guess you are probably shooting for the brown here. Yes I realise its abstract, but its hardly a glowing example of technical photography . poor effort. 2 |

Old Beautyby Bruce_the_RobertComment by krnodil: It's a pain to shoot reflective surfaces and not get yourself in the shot. :) I just read the other day to point the lens through a hole in a large panel of cloth (black or white, depending on the reflection you're looking for) to disguise the camera and surroundings - I offer that tip to you, should you find it useful, although I haven't made use of it myself, yet, to know how well it works. I like the simple directness of the shot, and the focus, although I had assumed it was at a wider aperture. I'm surprised that at f/8 you didn't get more of the rim of the lens in focus. I like how you focused it, as I said, I just assumed it was at a different aperture. |

Untitledby Bruce_the_RobertComment by krnodil: The imperfections of the petals is precisely what makes this shot interesting and unique - this is no ideal specimen, this is a capture of a single individual, at a moment in its lifespan that cannot be revisited. Really nicely done. |

Untitledby Bruce_the_RobertComment by JerseyGenie: In reference to the comment below about not having perfect petals. WHAT in life is perfect? I think reality, portrayed beautifully is GOOD. Nice job. |
