what an idyllic scene -- very nicely done! being red-green colourblind, i can't tell if the building is the same colour as the foliage, but it's got a great monochromatic feel to it.

have you tried it in b&w or sepia? also think it would be an interesting candidate for faux-infrared treatment...

This is a great shot too, reminds some of my great-grandma in Germany. She was a real character. I think this would be better with a tighter crop, take a little off the right side and top. I think it would make a little more intimate with the lady.

Hey, wanted to comment on this photo sooner but have been busy. I think you did everything perfect on this shot, the DOF, exposure, composition. Plus it's one of those photos that tells a story. A definate contender in the appropriate challenge.

this is a very nice capture. if you could adjust the midtones to bring out the woman's face, that would be great (i tried and couldn't but maybe the original has more tonality).

Well, it must have worked because I don't see a blue wire. This is a really nice image. Love the composition. Good detail in the fur, with only a couple of small blown highlights. Very charming shot.

I really love the use of color in this one. I hear the term desaturation alot, but I am not sure what you do to use it. Anyway, the foreground is my favorite part of the photo. I am not a big fan of purple though, but that is my personal taste. I'd like to see this done with some other color combinations. It seems a good subject to really play. If you don't mind, I would like to try and take this one and add a chrome texture to it just to see how it comes out. I have Microsoft Picture It as one of my editing programs, and it has a whole bunch of illusions which I love to use for different looks. Let me know and I will post it on my site for about a week.
