Now this one really deserved to win! Something we can all relate to and the best DPC fanatic picture I have seen on this site! Really got me lauging! I love the composition of this, really looks like someone just got a new tattoo and showing it off to their friends. Great simple composition, with the hands perfectly placed and the dark clothing, the jeans just showing enough detail but without distracting from the point. "Cheeky" but no crude!
Background
I like the way that the black T.shirt has faded into the background, creating negative space and once more allowing the viewer to concentrate on the interesting part! Perhaps the highlights from the belt on the left, behind the arm, could have been covered up, a minor detail.
Technical
You had a few comments that the lighting was a bit dark, personally I think that the lighting is pretty good here, with the skin being evenly lit, with no blown out parts. The lighting is strongest on the DPC logo which is good cause it brings attention to it, not that anyone could miss it! Focus seems spot on, with the Logo in sharp focus but the hand on the right slightly softer.
My Opinion
I think that this is a great shot, perfectly fits the challenge, definitely gets a few laughs and is technically well done. Just a shame that it wasn't in the top 3. B/W issues, bare skin issues, who knows? I think that this should be the new DPC advertisment. Anyway, hope that this helps yo and Good Luck in the next challenge.

Funny idea, well composed, but I'm not certain that the dramatic lighting helps you out here. I think that the vibrant colors of the cheese in contrast to the darker/starker mouse would have been contrast enough. I think I would have liked to see it evenly lighted to the same level as the upper left corner -- with perhaps some shadow contributed by the mouse itself.

The effect of the flowers being so much brighter than the signs is interesting, although it keeps drawing my eyes away from the signs themselves. I wonder if it would have been possible to use the flash to brighten the signs up or something? Besides that though, composition and framing is very good and well balanced all around. Such a tragic loss of young life.

Ahhh humor! Works well here. 2 color chese ads to the texture. I'M a bit distracted by the intense light in the bottom right and the dark shadows in the top right. I think the contrast with the dark mouse was a good idea but would've worked better with a light even bg. 8

I don't like this image, but can't really identify why. The garish yellow of the cheese is part of it, I think - certainly, it gets extremely bright yellow in the bottom right hand corner. I like the lighting, but it's perhaps too dark in the top right corner.

This evokes so much sadness in me :( I think that if you had been able to put the camera lower to get a direct photo of the cross on the right.. or maybe just even the plaque on the ground? I'm not sure what I can suggest. Well done though, this is a very emotional photograph. -Annida

What sad road signs. Not sure whether I like the lighting or not, the glow of the flowers is a bit distracting, but maybe this was purposeful.
