Week 02by KenComment by EL-ROI: I like this portrait. I usually don't like B&W. I think the reason is that I see a lot of people go to B&W conversion to try to salvage a bad image. Here though, the image is great! Nice and focused and sharp with good tones. |

Week 01by KenComment by dtallakson: That's a lot of snow! It was 77 degrees today where I live. I think I would like a day in snow country....but, only a day! |

Week 01by KenComment by colorcarnival: Man, look at all that snow piled on top. So have you been able to get inside yet to see if it survived? The snow piled on the branches in the back is very pretty. Good for you for getting out in all that and getting a picture lol |

Week 01by KenComment by Ken: Originally posted by salmiakki: Oh, I'd forgotten what the lake effect snow could be like! Used to screw traffic up no end when I lived in Chicago. That's actually a heck of a lot of snow there. I like the conversion. Do you use a preset with Silver Efex or make your own? I find more often than not these days I tweak the presets a bit. |
I used a preset and then tweaked it a bit. We ended up getting about 6 more inches the day after I took this. |

Week 01by KenComment by jasonlprice: I like what you've done with the whites to boost the contrast. I actually really like flat snow shots with little contrast, but this one is different and very bold. I like it much better this way. |

Week 01by KenComment by raish: It was minus 40 Celsius up in Røros recently. I'm told if you get a glass of hot water and throw it up in the air it comes down as snow...
Nice snow picture and an interesting shack - like a mansard boat house... |
