Indian Morningby gaurawaComment by SRINI: Yes it is the tricolor of India - orange, white and green. The sun is a bit off-center but doubles up quite nicely for the wheel (chakra) in the middle of the national flag.
The undulating effect of the melange of colors is a realistic capture of an Indian experience often taken for granted :)
Bravo and Congrats, gaurawa! |

Liquids 201 : Surface Tension by gaurawaComment by CNovack: A very clean, minimalistic, and hypnotic composition. Love the bold blues that are almost electric against the black backdrop of the surface water. The lines that gather around the paperclips are very psychedelic in that the electric blue color and the chaotic/fractal flow of the lines deliver an intensified sensory perception to the eye. Lighting is absolutely spot on and the focus on the main elements is in sharp clarity. Great job here! Perhaps if you still have those blinds laying around as a prop for a future composition you could try bending the paperclips into different shapes (say a treble clef for example) and see how the the light/reflections bend around them. |

Hello by gaurawaComment by ketan: Hi,
I have almost the same set up 30D + 100mm f/2.8 + 430ex speedlight.
How do you get this magnification of the subject? At 1:1 manual focussing I am not able to see so clearly. Am I missing a point in this whole Macro thing...feeling retarded... |

Sailingby gaurawaComment by codfish: I thing the strong angles of the boat against the fluidness of the smoke. The shadow on the lower part of the sail is a bit distracting. |
