Church Day 30by KatmystiryComment by MelonMusketeer: What a cool view from up there. It's amazing to me how the new buildings dwarf what likely was a much taller building than any other when it was built. You live in a nice looking city, and have shown us a lot of interesting views of it over the month of this challenge. I am so happy that you were in, and that I decided to get in also. I knew it would be a lot of fun, entertainment, and that we would all benefit a lot from the experience. |

Church Day 30by KatmystiryComment by renegade1966: Kat, it's been fun seeing our city through someone else's camera. Louisville has so much to offer as far as photography. This is a very nice shot. I like the perspective from up there.
Thanks for all your comments and help. This 30 day challenge has een by far the best thing I've done since i got my camera. |

Church Day 30by KatmystiryComment by SandyP: Oh WOW!!! What an amazing scene! Where were you when you took this. What an incredible angle you had. I so love how obvious it is that the old old history of that church has been preserved and protected while all the glass and modern evolution has occurred in your city. What a striking sight!
I am so glad you were part of this thread. As you know, I scour the earth for tidbits about Kentucky -- and especially the Louisville area. You have made it so much more personal again, and I am so inspired to go back and visit. Thanks so much for all your creative work and expert skill in presenting your amazing city in its finest dress!!!

Orange Day 24by KatmystiryComment by renegade1966: The shadow of the street lamp caught my eye.. I really like it.
The color is really nice.
It's hard to get anything around here without power lines. It's where we live... Message edited by author 2007-03-02 20:29:17. |

Downtown Day 23by KatmystiryComment by renegade1966: We're really lucky here in Louisville to have so many interesting buildings, old and new to shoot. I really like photos that show both.
Nice shot. |

Waiting at School Day 26by KatmystiryComment by renegade1966: Originally posted by xxrozxx: the windows in the door look like eyes!! and the handles like a nose ... etc etc .. personification!!!!! ... love the tones in this shot .. |
I thought the same thing when I saw this.
I like the texture in the stone around the doors and the tree really adds depth. |
