Chasing the Darknessby mpetersComment by Mick: This is beautiful image Mark. Congratulations! My only nitpick would be the left side of the lighthouse looks a tiny bit overexposed. That's probably due to size of the image. You loose so much detail by shrinking an image to fit DPC's stupid pixel limitations that you're left with only a suggestion of the actual image. When I shrink a photo from my 5D I end up with less than 15% of the original pixels.
Anyway, this is a sweet shot.

Twisted Silkby mpetersComment by eschelar: What a fantastic balance of light and color... Just the right amount of asymmetry in the angle of ascent for the stem/bottle too...
Great stuff! |

DpC4484.jpgby mpetersComment by bfox2: I guess this is the one from the first shoot that you guys did, and I think it far and away beats the 6 you posted today. The background really compliments the girl since, although you can tell what it is, it's blurred enough to not really distract the eye of the viewer. The foreground tree looks natural, complements her pose, and feels like a good anchor for the left side. Also the lighting is coming more from behind her (I think?) which gives the shot a more 'glamor' feel. |
