Gorgeous shot! Love at the top, how the end of his tail is twirled around. Perfect pose. Only flaw I can see is the noisy backround.

AWWWW. How darling. I like the unusual way he's turned back - makes for a very interesting giraffe portrait. Isn't their hide just got the neatest design? Love their long velvety tongues too.

This actually looks like a still from a movie. Excellent job keeping the background in without allowing it to be overwhelming. I think its great, particularly as a spur of the moment shot - looks like you were in the perfect place. The placement of all the elements in relation to each other is perfect - the grass, the horses, the men, the trees... Everything else is so perfect, who cares about the gun - I only notice because you mentioned it in your notes.

I love the curve of the horn. I could go to a zoo every day. Love those critters!

He looks stuffed. :) Great detail. The color toning you've kept is excellent. Even dirty white animals tend to get washed out but you've overcome that. You've done great keeping all the detail. The textures of his horn work very well with the textures of his fur.

Comment by dahkota:
beautiful detail/texture on the chameleon. Since I know how terribly difficult these shots are I must commend you on the clarity of this. People forget that the glass is often dirty, streaked, and reflection ridden. I'll bet this was inside also, doubling the frustration of trying to get a great pic. Excellent work!

great picture with excellent detail in the camel. Might I suggest you clone out the 'spots' in the upper right? :) My eye went to that first, believe it or not. I think the timing for the camel was excellent.

Wow. Your cropping/POV really plays up to his size. Wish the national zoo had grizzleys. You'd never get me away. Perfect timing and positioning. I love the zoo. Most difficult part is overcoming the background (fences, fake rocks, etc). You did a great job with this one.

Aha! Outside and away from the glass. Quite evident in the quality of the details. Cute and funny expression captured here. The details of the fur/hair on the near (shaded) side are very good. Minor shame about the blowout top of the nose and lower lip. Shooting in RAW, could adjust some? Aw heck, I don't even know what camera you used for these... :(

This one jumped out at me from the thumbnails...had to take a peek. The snake one I commented on was the same way. :)

Smile and keep having fun!

I love this expression captured in the jaguars face. After reading your story behind the photo it makes sense. :) Amazing animal, and gorgeous to look at. Again, a little noisy, but hey - I'd be happy with it overall. You don't list any details on camera settings (lens, aperture, ISO, shutter speed) - would be interesting to see these when commenting. Just a thought.

Take care!
