Some blown highlights and a slightly too busy background. Also, the bird is caught in mottled shadows. Using a wider aperture may have given you less DOF and blurred the background more. |

Goldfield Churchby ArpeggioAngelComment by jpochard: Wonderful "frontier" feel to this shot, especially with the gray clouds background. I agree that possibly darkening the ground in front would be more appealing - however, if it actually is this light you may want to keep it as you have seen it. In either case, a nice shot just as it is. |

Crossing Over, Crossing Underby ArpeggioAngelComment by jpochard: Wonderful focus and clarity of color. Nice blurred background sets them off perfectly. I don't like snakes, but I like the photo of them! Would have been good for a textures challenge too. |
