gazeboby ArpeggioAngelComment by alien2thisworld: I love this selective coloring :) It works very well. Good full tone range, and good placement of the gazebo within the composition. The white chain running from the right side into the middle is the only thing that I wish wasn't included in the shot. |

gazeboby ArpeggioAngelComment by Pixlmaker: I like this, but perhaps adding some color in the upper right would balance it out a little. All the color is in the left side of the picture. Just my $.02, though--it's still a good shot. |

gazeboby ArpeggioAngelComment by loriprophoto: I dont think having just the flowers in color helps this shot. I would like to see the color version. Perhaps take the chain out too? |

gazeboby ArpeggioAngelComment by jpochard: This looks like a beautiful location....why in black and white? I think I'd prefer the full color version probably. The selective desat does not add anything to this subject for me. The whites don't appear to be blown out, which is good, and I really like the angle of the shot.
You might want to consider cloning out the chain against the bushes. I do like the framing here with the foliage, but I think doing it in color with perhaps a softer feel to the editing would suit my own taste better.
Nice set of photos. |

Florida Banded Snakeby ArpeggioAngelComment by SJCarter: Very cool shot! You've got a great eye for composition. I know that snake shots aren't always popular on DPC, but I like 'em and this is a good one! Great job. |

Bok Towerby ArpeggioAngelComment by SJCarter: Beautifully composed shot - love the lines and perspective. You really show off the splendor of the architecture nicely. My only suggestion would be to burn the stone and windows a bit to bring down the brightness of the tower and deepen the tones. Otherwise, excellent!
EDIT: Oh yeah, and thanks for the history lesson! :-) Message edited by author 2005-12-23 13:31:00. |
