I really like the composition with just the touch of red. Personally, I would get rid of the big white border. Why waste pixels on that when we can look at the interesting picture?

I'll never understand why people do this. Selective desaturation works well, IMO, when it focuses the viewer's attention on the subject. This one pulls me away from the subject to look for absolutely nothing in the leftover colors of the background.
