Old Manby gsalComment by mtnman: Love the shot. Because of the texture/interest of the shoes, I would love to see the feet/footwear included in the frame and not cropped out. It is part of what makes him "a pic worth taking"
Would love to see this shot with you stepping a couple of steps to your right. So that the vertical pole is just to his right leaving only the horizontal poles crossing your subject. The hands are/"may be" an intricate part of the story, and unfortunately, are partially hidden.
Shadows and lighting work to highlight your subject. |

Smoke Gets In Your Eyesby gsalComment by redmoon: challenge description is more fire than smoke... i do like the pictures menace though ;treatment in terms of colour and shades and ever so slight desat works reall effectively. i think it might be better if he didn't have the phone to his head though, just seems a monir distraction for us the viewer. it's a cool candid portrait; but still not sure how relevant it is to this challenge... 7. |
