It's a Frog Eat Frog World by RackatComment by goodtempo: Congradulations on the great winning photo! Excellent! I'm also interested in how you did it. I read your comments. You could give some of us amateurs some pointers. It looks like you had top right and lower left lighting. But I was also wondering what you used to hold the spoon and how you did the gradient background? I know that background can be done with software but how did you do it without software? |

It's a Frog Eat Frog World by RackatComment by Rackat: Thank you very kindly to everyone that took the time to comment! A couple of you thought this little guy was not real and referred to a white line in the photo. I was really stumped for a while about this and then I finally saw what I now believe to be a dog hair. He stays mainly in the water and gets pretty sticky when he starts to dry. He would tolerate shooting for about 2 minutes then off the spoon he'd hop, sometimes landing not quite on all fours. I would then pick the debris from the carpet off his sticky skin, and shoot for a couple more minutes before I put him up....guess I missed a hair and never noticed it in the shot. Amandolin, you are right! I was wondering if anyone would notice! He is actually an Oriental Fire Bellied Toad, but for title purposes he became a frog for the week. |
