Day 9by renegade1966Comment by Katmystiry: Neat piece of history! I didn't know that but then again I've only been here about 10 years and have spent most of it working too hard. |

Reflections Of My Cityby renegade1966Comment by Arcanist: This is a great image and excellent first attempt. Throw little bit of sharp in on it and will really make things pop and gain you a point in a challenge. Message edited by author 2007-02-10 20:49:12. |

Day 5by renegade1966Comment by Arcanist: While you say there is nothing special about this train, if you darken this whole image by a full 1-2 f-stops, the sky and train will take on a much more dramatic look.
One way to do this would be to duplicate the layer in PS, set the top layer to Multiply and create a mask (black) by hitting alt and the box with the dot. Then brush on white with a very large brush, but only at about 11-15% opacity. Then keep adding/piling up the white to get your desired level of 'darkening'
Must, must, must level this shot with a slight rotation. Doing so will save you a point at least on challenges. Message edited by author 2007-02-10 17:10:18. |
