Desert & Lifeby phinbobComment by DrAchoo: I wouldn't have knocked you if you just called it "Desert Life", but I guess some might have so good move. I like the subject. It's a little harsh on the lighting of the cactus. I'd prefer more even exposure there. 7 |

This Old Houseby phinbobComment by art-inept: i always thought high contrast and sepia didn't go together. because sepia is usually done to add antique-ness to a photo. and usually older photos aren't very contrasty. but i like this shot. it conveys that old country feel very well. |

This Old Houseby phinbobComment by Bear_Music: This has a nice, old-timey feel to it. If I have a complaint, it's the way the roof exactly matches in value the sky area it's blending into. I wouldn't call this high-contrast though, personally. |

Thanks!
Do you think this type of shot would be accepted as a high contrast shot? |

New Shoesby phinbobComment by KiwiShotz: For some reason, I wanted to call this "Rumps" :) This looks like a really professional magazine story illustration, not out of place in National Geographic. Shooting in motled light is hard to do, usually end up with too deep shadows or blown highlights. This has neither and is happily an 8 |
