He's saying that he should have died for his own sins, not mankind's sins. The other side of that coin is Christ's amazing act of Mercy, ignoring what "should" be and granting Doc eternal life.

Lighting is pretty good but could be better (get that Timfy guy to give you lessons) and it seems you tried to pull a bit out of the darker side to the point of getting a bit of noise/grain.
