Good subject matter. Soft focus, it would be a little better if it was a little more crisp and the contrast was just a little more.

LOL @ your explanation of getting the shot. I like this a lot. The feather in the frog's mouth is really great. The DOF, sharpness, and composition are all good. I'm surprised this didn't do better in the challenge (although 5.2 ain't bad in that challenge!). Nice work (and hope you've recovered from your swim...) ;-)

I think you got a lot of good elements here. Try retaking this shot angled so you can see the needle clearly, still read the record title and facing the arm so the arm goes out of focus into the background.
