This almost has a March feel... but I really do wish there was even the slightest hint of color variation in the background because the tone really flattens the image as it is. I'm not sure about the border...

The white spots on the doe look familiar. I believe this is the same deer I saw on Marc Benton's blog

Seems a little flat. Could probably benefit from some curves or contrast tweaks. The border does not come off to me well, either, I'm afraid. I can tell you tried to do an image that floats above the frame, picking up from the color of the deer. The brown is so dark, though, that the impression is that of a dull black.
