Triptych Dropsby davidus428Comment by ignacio: taking this picture requires a lot of patience and careful anticipation of the final outcome. in filipino language, we call this "ang galing galing" which means very good! i would be interested to know how this picture was done. |

I See You...by davidus428Comment by ignacio: I like the way this picture was taken although I assume this was rotated to make it look more interesting. what catches me is the eye of the praying mantis as it looks menacingly at its prey (i think the mantis is praying for its meal). great shot!!!! |

I See You...by davidus428Comment by macrothing: 8 - Very good, and two for one meet of the Challenge. Criticism; very difficult given the composition and inclusion of the two 'characters', but maybe a slightly different cropping. Would like to say different angle, but I am sure this was an opportune capture as is. Definition is good on both but would like to have seen perhaps a touch more as well as more vivid (especially in the green) colors, again though, difficult with the resulting contrast issues I imagine, as well as retaining definition in both 'characters' at once, in a macro. |

I See You...by davidus428Comment by olddj: well done, love the interplay between two of natures best hunters, the spider does not stand much of a chance if the encounter went on to conflict, but love the photo - to me if you lose any points, maybe the fact that the photo APPEARS to be upside down (know it is not), should not, but that may be a terrible reason to deduct points ( have seen others that actually turned theirs 180 degrees), just a thought |

I See You...by davidus428Comment by BrennanOB: great capture, the upside down look is a bit disorientating, but belivable, hawever i think it might have been more pleasing if it was inverted to a " right way up" image. Never the less it ought to be right at the top, great illustration of the challenge subject. |
