Mark-Typer.jpgby FotoMunkiComment by Jutilda: WOW - this series is really good. Again, looks like something from another era. The old style typewriter really brings it home. Wonderful light and shadow. I like the hint of green instead of the expected sepia tones. I like how the light dances over his profile, backlighting his face and left side of his neck. GOOD WORK.
Post thought: just spotted the cigs and matches - man, this is 1950's if I've ever seen it!! Even the dotted swiss curtains. BRAVO Message edited by author 2006-12-28 08:26:47. |

Carin-68.jpgby FotoMunkiComment by Jutilda: Excellent lighting. I'm wondering if you cropped it a bit tighter? Somehow the brightness on the top of the hair is a touch distracting. Great toning. I like the hint of grain to give it a slightly aged look. |

Rich.jpgby FotoMunkiComment by Jutilda: This is great. His haircut and plaid shirt really gives a nostalgic sense in combination with the post editing. I'd think it was taken in the 60's. I like it very much. The lighting is spot on. |

Mr. Majesticby FotoMunkiComment by DeniseL: Great cat portrait, not stiff and posed looking. Natural and you've caught the cat gaze perfectly. I like the softened effect. |

Mr. Majesticby FotoMunkiComment by sfalice: Binky. Oh, yes. I know Binky. (Well, not your Binky, but then...that inscrutable look is pure Everycat, isn't it.) I really like the treatment you gave this image. I would also have been delighted to see what Binky looks like in real life.
I'm looking forward to seeing you, your wife and your family on another SF GTG one of these days!
Take care. And thanks for your nice words about my For Sale entry... |

Mr. Majesticby FotoMunkiComment by CNovack: Wow, look at that commanding stare! Now that is where you want to keep your viewer's attention hypnotized on! Don't be afraid to get closer to your subject, zoom in to so that his face fills the frame. As this composition sits now, I think that all the space surrounding the cat's face just takes attention away from the strong focal point of the image - that commanding stare which holds emotion and interest. Bring the viewer closer to your subject and it would move this composition out of the 'good' category' into the above average exceptional category. |

Mr. Majesticby FotoMunkiComment by macrothing: 7 - Nice portrait of Mr Majestic. Toning works well, A fraction more 'pop' around Mr Majestic's face and/or focal area a little wider, to include a little more face, eyes especially, make this even better in my opinion. A frame may have really set this off and given it more of an edge, not sure. |

Mr. Majesticby FotoMunkiComment by alien2thisworld: This shot looks great in black and white. I really like the off-center placement of the cat's head in the composition. The tone range is very nice and focus looks great. |
