Greetings from the Critique Club

Terrific pun, terrific cat, good photography. Great score. What more could you ask!

Certainly this is an appealing image; one that sparked the interest of many voters, and rightly so. The cat's (pi**ed) expression was worth extra points right there.

With animals, you take what you can get, but this is a bit of a close crop on the top of that magnificent head of Netta's. I think you get away with it because of the great center of interest in Netta's eyes, and of course, the bald behind.

So, congratulations on a fine image and keep up the good work.

Tongariro Crossing... Part of the Tongariro World Heritage Park, and extremely popular walking trek, which depending on the route taken lasts from 1 to 3 days and takes you through some spectacular mountain terrain over active volcanoes
Is situated at the southern end of Lake Taupo about 1 1/2 hrs drive from Taupo township

Huka Falls. Just outside of Taupo, is the only water outlet for the whole of Lake Taupo.
Lake Taupo being one huge volcanic crater, just over 600 sq kilometres in size down to a depth over 500 feet. The last Taupo eruption was recorded by the Romans and the Chinese and is listed as being the largest recorded explosion in the history of the World,

Shot taken from a lookout on top of Mt Tauhara. A small mountain on the outskirts of Taupo, NZ.
A short walk, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hrs takes you there and on a nice day there is spectacular views over the lake to the mountains

Sidesplitting. Good one. I love how cat's just seem to know that we are taking pictures of them. It's the only time they don't like being the center of attention.

The stray tufts add to the picture.

This shot was taken from the middle of Lake Taupo Forest, which is on the eastern shores of Lake Taupo in the middle of the North Island of New Zealand. At the time I was working in the forestry area and saw a great sunset coming down, I had to really fly to find a high point where I could get the views of the mountain.
Mt Ruapehu is a popular ski resort area in N.Z and for those interested
nearby you have the spectacular Tongariro Crossing, an alpine trekking route, awesome scenery, awesome park, which is rated as a world heritage park
I do have some photos taken a couple of years back of the "crossing" which i will locate and put up for viewers

Thanks for those that voted on my entry, and gave such great comments.
To all those that I didnt get to tell, No I didnt shave her for the challenge, just coincidence that its summer here, and she gets both too hot and too full of matts if she isnt shaved ... She is a much loved pet here and pretty much runs the household, or thinks she does.....She doesnt normally look so peeed off tho, I guess after a day of me following her around with a camera, she was getting annoyed, its her fault tho for being so damn fast and rarely ever sitting still for long
