 Top of Mt Tauhara looking back over Taupo township.
A not too hard 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hr walk to the top, gives spectacular views in good weather...Total waste of time when very cloudy tho....Anyone coming to Taupo wants directions to the track send me an email as you might never find it otherwise

Shot taken from a lookout on top of Mt Tauhara. A small mountain on the outskirts of Taupo, NZ.
A short walk, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hrs takes you there and on a nice day there is spectacular views over the lake to the mountains
