Lost On A Closed Trackby ndsComment by Azrifel: Great idea to include an object that is totally alien to its surroundings. The first thing you look at is the bridge on the top and it gives a B&W expectation. What a shock it is when you go down and are confronted by a big blue umbrella!
Great photo! |

Lost On A Closed Trackby ndsComment by Galina: I think the image woould have been stronger if you desaturated all grass as well leaving only the umbrella to stand out |

Amnestied by ndsComment by jodiecoston: I didn't have the chance to vote this last week because I was out of town, but this definitely would have gotten a 10 from me. Beautiful, creative image. Congrats on the ribbon. |

Amnestied by ndsComment by nds: Thanks again to all of you!
I had some trouble with the sharpness of the staples in this shot. The original photo has a good focus and I didn’t sharpen that much after resizing. But already by using the lowest level of the “sharpen filter” in PhotoImpact, the staples are looking a little oversharpened (but the egg itself doesn’t). Does somebody know the reason? Perhaps I had the problem because of the gleamy material of the staples?
As I can see in the comments, some of you don’t understand the title. Maybe I didn’t found the correct english word. On Sunday morning I didn’t wanted to eat my egg and the idea of reclosing an opened egg was born. This decision was a kind of reprieve or amnesty for the egg ;-)
Btw: An amnestied prisoner never will be the same person after the end of his captivity. The time without freedom will leave it’s mark. But perhaps this is too much interpretation of an simple egg shot :-)
