Insulatorsby dw_photoComment by _eug: What a great use of depth of focus and great color, however the back light needs to be muted more. |

Stand for Somethingby dw_photoComment by macrothing: 7 - Like this. Criticism; perhaps slightly more handle may have made this even better in my opinion, not sure. I also wonder about the flooring, 'works' and also gives a complementary pattern, and colors (mostly), but wonder if either slightly softer on the flooring, or perhaps even some type of desaturation, even if only slight, may have also made this 'pop' more. |

Freeze Upby dw_photoComment by tmhalling: I like the color balance in this photo and the exposure is great. I find that this photo may lack a definate point of focus. I know the frozen pond was meant to be a point of focus but it seems to centrally placed. |

Stand for Somethingby dw_photoComment by ursula: Yeah! A spoon that stands up for itself (and it's nice to see a background that's not either white or black). You did this well. |

Childhood Left Behindby dw_photoComment by graphicfunk: It is amazing how we readily project our feelings and emotions to inanimate objects. Consider the strong attachments that children place on them and then even as we grow up we still feel an affinity. Well, when seen, as this abondoned, it touches something deep within us. Hence the strength of this image. Here you have conveyed and awaken these feelings. Congratulations on your top 20 finish. |
