Day 19 slice of lifeby joynimComment by suemack: Gorgeous shot! With the harsh lighting conditions we have here Charlie sometimes the only way if you have to shoot into the light like you have here is to take 2 shots..... one exposed on the cat, one on the background and layer them. Difficult though if you're not using a tripod.
I strike this all the time in the resthomes as the people are always sitting in front of large windows looking into the rooms. Can't move them round to suit me. I just make the best of what I've got and edit as best as possible. |

Day 19 slice of lifeby joynimComment by cogerox: This is very sharp with good detail, but the bright highlight behind kitty is distracting.
Did you try Shadow/Highlight and Levels? I find that works really well with harsh highlights combined with dark shadows. You can control shadows and highlights separately to even out the picture, then, with Levels, add contrast back in for a sharper image. |
