Got Power to Burn, Need Motionby robsComment by neophyte: This is great rob! You were robbed. I gave you a 6 and liked the stationary effect and the perspective. You've had time to pick the rubber out of your teeth. Let us see some photos from your travels. |

er...um... No :-) This guy is just flat out crazy, there is no other word :-))
It was part of the summer nats where a whole lot of bike and car people get together to generate tyre smoke and noise. |

Thank you! No crop on this one.

Thank you very much! This is straight from the camera apart from curves & sharpen, so I could certainly clone out the lights (I agree it would make the shot stronger). I would probably also clone out the orange start-finish line because I don't think that helps a lot either.
Unfortunatly!!, I did not keep my finger on the button mostly because I was out of zoom-out space :-) [I was also having to pre-focus because the smoke and speed were causing havoc on the auto-focus - I suspect that is why people doing this a lot end up with a 1-series camera]. It was tough (and fun) them coming from that far back and the running straight past me :-) |

I Can See Clearly Now... (IMG_1778-01)by robsComment by LalliSig: This one I like! Excellent capture, I am wondering if you did capture one just after he came out of the smoke, where the biker behind him is still in the smoke but visible, THAT would have been an awesome shot but this is still very very good and a shot I would be proud of myself. I am a bit distracted by the lights up in the left corner, this shot would have much more mysterious and captivating without them, any way to crop/clone/burn them out of the picture? Anyway, NICE :) |

IMG_7596-01.jpgby robsComment by LalliSig: Nice shot, I like the simplicity and bleakness of it but not really a shot I want to be looking at in July, makes me depressed thinking about winter as I am a "summer" person :) Good composition. Just wish it had some cloud texture as this image is still, well, kindof uninteresting and honestly one I would vote 5 if it were in a challenge, opting to go to the next shot. |

Weed (IMG_1037-01)by robsComment by neophyte: Hey rob! I really like the comp and the colors in this! The focus on only the top part is interesting but I personally believe that a deeper DOF would serve you better. Message edited by author 2006-07-12 01:24:00. |
