First impression:
Perfect focus, nice setup, clarity good and good placement of subject.
What can you do better?
Since I have never scored so high, I dunno :-) But I think that you could easily have cut away more of the left.
I am never sure about b/w, In my opinion colour is better and freckels are nice the way they are.

You met the challenge head-on and finished with aplomb. The subject you chose (yeah, you) tugged at a lot of "I can relate" strings and probably gave you that high score.
Your technicals and color handling is improving (a lot) and a bit more PP skillz and you're good to go.

I am actually surprised this scored so low. I don't normally divulge what I scored any image, but seriously? I scored this one an 8. I thought it was a fantastic depiction of heat. The girl's expression is perfect, the suspended water is great. I even like the off-center crop. The light is a bit harsh, and that was just about all I had to criticize here. Perhaps a bit of Unsharp Mask might punch this up a bit?
