Could have been less shallow depth of field. For this image, I think having it all sharply focused would have improved it. But that is only my opinion so don't take it to heart. Can't please everybody, as I have more than discovered in these challenges.

If the fly and tips of the inner flower parts were in focus this would be more impactful, also the colors seem a little dull but might just be my monitor. Like the idea though, keep trying.

Wow... Your colors are really off in this shot. I' don't know how to fix this one. Maybe playing around with levels. You used the on camera flash to didin't ya. I think this could be much improved if you didn't use the flash and instead brought in other light sources. Move them around and experiment till you have good results...
