Eye of Godby chaliceComment by thomaspeople: I really like this photo. It is an abstract and I can't seem to catch the motion here, but it's good enough for me to give benefit of doubt.
I'm hoping your notes will explain a little. Meanwhile, congratulations on a well done shot. |

Glass Candle Holder on a Glass Tableby chaliceComment by Jaded_Housewife: I usually dig reflections. this ones not working for me. i loved the top half of the photo as it was opening and then when the bottom popped up I lost interest. The reflections very nicely done. It just seems to detract from the crisp clean modern feel the top half alone had.8 |

Flight of the Beeby chaliceComment by timfythetoo: Trading Post - Not a bad shot. Way to go on catching a flying bee. I think if you could have caught him in focus and had the flower be your bokeh in front you may have scored some more points. Nice colors and the background bokeh works pretty good. I think the crop may be just a tad bit too tight as I think I would have liked to have seen the whole head of the flower in the shot. |

This did pretty well for a flower shot! :-) Love the crisp focus on the foreground flower and nice choice of subject as that's a particularly lovely bloom. The bee is a welcome addition as it adds interest but you should have convinced him to fly into the picture rather than out of it - doesn't he understand the rules of composition? Well lit, good color, and nice bokeh to boot. |

Eye of Godby chaliceComment by ourwebstop: I've given the same basic comment on quite a few shots -- my preference (as I discovered while looking at a number of these blur shots) is for a sharp subject. When there is no sharp subject, my eye wanders around trying to find something to focus on. I also don't tend to be attracted to shots where I can't tell what I'm seeing. I find myself trying to figure out what this is (and being frustrated when I can't) rather than appreciating it as abstract art. Perhaps just a difference in artistic preference. |

Nice capture. I followed a bee around for about an hour before giving up. Nice placement in such a large field too! Your bokeh is wonderful and the purple's/blue's are excellent. |
