I scored this a 5 as it technically met the challenge. Overall it just didnt stand out. The lighting is a bit flat and though you have a good reflection, the interest factor is pretty low. Focus is good, crop is good and its obvious you were attemting something creative. It just didnt work out great. |

Whilst there doesn't seem anything "wrong" with this, it doesn't seem to have much punch imho. Theres an awful lot of grey, and I'm not 100% convinced about the focus, although that may be just because of looking through the glass.
I think it would have been a lot stronger with a touch of colour, because the composition does have a nice zen feel to it, and definitely has potential |

I gave this a 7 - I really like the neutral tones and the balance this has. In looking at it again, I also think it's kinda neat how the center flame is the strongest, particularly in the reflection. |

Trading post...
In voting I scored this a 5. While the colors are very soothing, it just didn't hold my interest. The bright flare of the wick in the middle candle also was a little distracting. I think it could have been a better image without the reflection as well. |

Good use of reflection. Nicely enough done that, without your title. you have to look closely to even realize it is a reflection. |

Nice contemporary look. My only suggestion is that I would have scored it a a point higher if the subject was a little more balanced in the photo. Just a tad off for my eyes but that could just be me. Otherwise, you did a fine job. |

The colours here are very seductive. White segues to yellow, orange, brown, then finally black - very hypnotic. It would make for an interesting duotone.
I'm not sure the reflection quite works, though. Too much of a mirror image. Maybe if the shot had been taken from higher up, or if the reflection had added a unique tone, it might've worked better. You could even have some fun taking this shot from different angles, and seeing how they look upside down... |

Simple and very effective with the neutral tones. Nice. |

how did you get the candles to burn so straight while they were upside down? Just Kidding. Nice Shot |

I usually dig reflections. this ones not working for me. i loved the top half of the photo as it was opening and then when the bottom popped up I lost interest. The reflections very nicely done. It just seems to detract from the crisp clean modern feel the top half alone had.8 |

I thought about candles, but I figured wax was liquid. |
